New Mechanisms and Controls for QCEA 2012

SEC Evaluation Institute has issued the new version of Qatar Comprehensive Educational Assessment mechanisms and controls in order to assist examination officials and supervisors into a legal, decisive and correct decision-making on whether students should pass or fail the exams according to their academic performance level.

Arabic is the Official Teaching Language at Qatar University

The Supreme Education Council issued a Decree that Arabic should be the official teaching language at Qatar University. The Decree states that students will be directly admitted in all Arabic-taught programs starting from Spring 2012 without the need to study the Foundation Program, providing that the University should consider including subjects successfully completed by students in the Foundation Program into the University requirements.

New Blog To Promote the Culture of Scientific Research in Qatari Schools

Scientific Research Department in SEC’s Education Institute has launched a scientific research blog to promote the culture of scientific research among students and to raise their skills in the field.

SEC Enables e-Education Programs

During a press conference hold in Monday 16th of January, 2012, Ms. Amal Al-Kuwari, Director of SEC’s Information Technology Department, revealed a number of projects that SEC has enabled for the past few months. These projects concern “e-Education” and the use of technology in the field of education.
