Minister discusses bilateral relation in education


The Minister of Education and Supreme Education Council Secretary General, Sheikha Al Mahmoud, met in Doha yesterday with her Lebanese counterpart Dr. Khalid Ghabani. They discussed bilateral education issues between Qatar and Lebanon.

EED Awards Criteria to be Announced Soon

The Education Excellence Day (EED) Awards criteria will be announced next week. The Education Excellence Day awards ceremony held annually under the patronage of HH Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, recognize the high achievements of students, teachers, schools and researchers in the State of Qatar and publicly celebrates their accomplishments.

1378 Independent schools students to sit for senior school exit exams from May 25

For the second consecutive year, at least 1378 twelfth grade Independent school students will participate in the Qatar Senior School Certificate exit exams administered by the Supreme Education Council’s Evaluation Institute beginning May 25 through May 29, 2008. The tests in four subjects – Mathematic, Science, English and Arabic.

Abdulrahman bin Jassim School held the second music and arts forum which saw participation of students from the Ministry of Education, Independent and private Arabic schools.
