Awards Structure
ROLE OF THE SUPREME EDUCATION COUNCIL:
The role of SEC includes:
1. Set award policies
2. Approve award value
3. Approve award categories
4. Define number of awardees in each category
5. Any other business.
The EED Board of Trustees:
The Board of Trustees is responsible for the supervision and monitoring of activities important to realization of the award’s objectives. The role of BOT includes:
1. Accredit award documents.
2. Accredit financial and administrative systems.
3. Establish permanent and temporary committees and define their tasks.
4. Submit final report to the Supreme Education Council.
5. Any other business
Adjudicating Committee:
The Adjudicating Committee, which is composed of education experts nominated through BoT, is responsible for assessing and selecting nominees, conducting field visits and personal interviews and submitting a final report to the BoT.
Finance Committee:
The Finance Committee is responsible for the overall financial details of the award, determining its value and its final delivery to the awardees.
Its tasks include:
1. Preparing the annual budget proposals and submitting them to BoT for approval.
2. Maintaining records and account logbooks.
3. Documenting all financial operations and providing authenticated receipts signed by the financial committee and accredited by the head of the committee.
Awards Review Committee:
The Awards Review Committee is composed of education experts nominated by BoT. Committee members will meet regularly; their tasks include:
1. Set award criteria for all categories and develop them as deemed necessary.
2. Suggest new award categories.
3. Review award documents and develop them.
4. Accredit all award publications and approve their printing.
5. Review award criteria annually based on feedback.
Executive Committee:
The Executive Committee is responsible for executing and monitoring all functions and recommendations of the BoT with respect to the EED. The Office of Communications represents the Executive Committee and its role includes:
1. Establishing technical committees and task forces and determining their responsibilities, and proposing financial awards to their members.
2. Executing the public relations plan for the award.
3. Executing the event’s day activities.
4. Coordinating and monitoring activities for EED ceremony.
5. Ensuring provision of materials and supplies.
The Executive Committee reserves the right to assign individuals to help in the organization, coordination and monitoring of public relations activities and to establish subcommittees for that purpose.
