Be a Teacher, Be an Inspirer
The leading Professional Community for Teachers in Qatar

Preview of the teachers' online network Teachers are the keystone in Qatar's education reform initiative. In its effort to improve the quality of teaching in the Independent Schools, the Education Institute will soon launch an online teachers' network, a meeting place for all teachers in Qatar to exchange views and information on teaching matters.

"Be a Teacher, Be an Inspirer" is the motto of the new network which aims to help teachers work together, exchange ideas on curricula, best practices, teaching resources, lesson plans, and pedagogy. This bilingual (Arabic-English) network will be the main platform to share ideas about the Supreme Education Council’s curriculum standards and other topics of common interest.

Since teachers know best what teachers need, the network aims to support and help teachers find suitable professional development programs, to document and disseminate the work of outstanding classroom teachers, and to help provide teachers with the knowledge and skills to become leaders in their classrooms and schools. The network will also provide teachers with and point them to sources of information and teaching methods which directly impact students’ ability to do well.

The teacher's network will enable teachers to discuss and learn about the latest trends in education through regularly scheduled online interviews with leading education experts. New, aspiring and experienced teachers will be able to exchange resources in learning, gain a broad insight into all aspects of teaching as well as apply or search for jobs online.
