The SEC is diamond sponsor of the Qatar Career Fair

The Supreme Education Council (SEC) is the diamond sponsor of the annual Qatar Career Fair which is jointly organized by Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, Qatar Petroleum, Qatar University and Ministry of Labor. Held under the auspices of HH Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, the Heir Apparent, this year's fair will be held at the Qatar International Exhibition Centre from March 14 - 18, 2010 under the slogan 'Discover today to succeed tomorrow.'

The SEC aims to offer several options on employment and training, professional development, career guidance as well as highlighting the many functional benefits provided to fresh graduates who wish to join the SEC and the independent schools. Terms and conditions of employment in the SEC and the independent schools will clarified to interested parties attending the Qatar Career Fair.

"The Qatar Career Fair offers opportunities to those seeking jobs in the various ministries, institutions and government agencies based on their qualifications, preferences, abilities and the needs of the Qatari labor market," said HE Saad bin Ibrahim Al Mahmoud, the Minister of Education and Higher Education and the Secretary-General of the SEC. "The exhibition provides the SEC a chance to clarify and explain the benefits, requirements and conditions of employment it provides to Qataris in order to attract them to join the teaching profession and other professions to help achieve the Qatar National Vision which represents a road map which mostly relies on the education process."

In addition to distributing publications, brochures and booklets, there will be presentations and workshops that focus on mentoring Qatari students and providing professional guidance including the labor market requirements and the most urgent disciplines needed now and in the future.
