The Supreme Education Council’s Human Resources Department began screening job applications submitted by applicants during the Qatar Career Fair held from March 14 -18, 2010. Eligible candidates will be contacted shortly.

At least 200 female visitors showed interest in obtaining the Bachelor of Primary Education degree offered by Qatar University (QU) in collaboration with the SEC. The SEC and QU signed an agreement during the Qatar Career Fair where 300 female high school graduates will receive scholarships from the SEC to further their studies by enrolling in the Bachelor of Primary Education program offered by the College of Education at QU.

In addition, the SEC will provide the prospective students a monthly stipend of not less than QR7000 during the 4-year study. Training contracts will be signed between the trainees and the SEC in accordance with the policies and regulations.

Students will join the program in four streams: Early Childhood education, English language, science and mathematics and Arabic language. On completion, the candidates will become teachers in the independent schools.
