Education minister meets Finish delegation

H.E. Saad Bin Ibrahim Al-Mahmoud, Minister of Education and Higher Education and Secretary General of the Supreme Education Council (SEC) met with Mrs. Sofie Lindin, Finish Minister of Telecommunications along with her delegation yesterday, Wednesday May 5, 2010. Mr. Matti Lasila, the Finish non-resident Ambassador to the State of Qatar attended the meeting.

HE Al Mahmoud discussed a number of issues including mutual cooperation between Qatar and Finland in the field of information communications and technology in education, in addition to the training of teachers particularly technical professional development. The meeting also discussed cooperation between Qatar and Finland in Higher Education and the possibility of send Qatari students to study in the Finish universities

Ms Sabah Al- Haidoos, the Education Institute director and Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Janahi, the Acting Director of SEC’s Higher Education Institute attended the meeting.
