At least 45,394 independent school students from grades 4 to 11 are participating in the 2010 Qatar Comprehensive Educational Assessments (QCEA) which began on May 9, 2010.

The QCEA tests will continue until June 3, 2010. The QCEA comprise a number of tests based on the national curriculum standards set by the SEC for mathematics, science, and Arabic and English Languages. The tests measure how well students perform in the four subjects with respect to the demanding national curriculum standards set by the SEC.

Grades 10 and 11 make up 11,368 students and will sit for the exams from May 9 – 13, 2010, at least 19,610 preparatory school students will sit from May 16 to 20, 2010. Another 14,416 primary students will sit for the exams in two stages: the first batch starts from May 23 to 27, 2010 and the second from May 30 until June 3, 2010.
