The SEC posts 2010 Qatar Senior School Certificate samples online

The Evaluation Institute has posted a number of samples for the 2010 Qatar Senior School Certificate (QSSC) on the Supreme Education Council (SEC) website on the eight main subjects to allow students to train and prepare for the final exit exam scheduled to take place from May 27 to June 8, 2010. The QSSC is the official national certificate issued to students on completion of Grade 12 studies at independent schools in Qatar The samples provide students with the opportunity to identify the format in which the questions will appear and help them understand the questions so they can perform better in the actual testing of QSSC. The samples are only posted for rehearsal purposes and do not reflect and are not directly related to the final tests.

This year, the students’ skills and abilities will be tested in eight content areas - Islamic Studies, Social Sciences, Arabic Language, English as a Second Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics. Each subject will have a minimum pass level and students are required to pass all subjects to obtain a secondary school certificate.

A committee comprising academic and educational experts from the Evaluation and Education Institutes and several secondary school subject coordinators compiled the test questions.
