Student registration to begin May 30

Students’ registration for Qataris, GCC nationals, and the children of Qatari parents will begin May 30, 2010. Model schools will begin registration of newcomers in kindergartens and grade one elementary schools from May 30 until June 2, 2010. Girls’ primary schools will begin registration from June 8 – 13, 2010 from 4pm – 8pm in all Independent Schools.

Cohort seven schools will conduct registration process in nearby school as they have not been equipped with the new electronic facilities. Schools outside Doha are exempted from this procedure as there are fewer students and availability of seats.

The SEC recently launched a new electronic service entitled “Where is my School” posted on the SEC website to help and direct parents to the nearest school to their residences. Parents should either enter the electricity number or the name of their location to locate the nearest school.
