250 students in 35 schools compete for scientific research awards

The Education Institute of the Supreme Education Council is conducting the 2nd Annual Student Research Fair under the patronage of H.E. the Minister of Education and Higher Education and Secretary General of the SEC, Saad Bin Ibrahim Al-Mahmoud at the Four Seasons Hotel on June 6 and 7, 2010.

The two-day fair for preparatory and secondary independent schools has witnessed remarkable development in the number of researches being exhibited as compared to 2009. Ninety researches from 35 schools with 250 students have participated in the preparations of the researches whose deadline for registration and abstracts was May 23, 2010.

The SEC invited professional academic professors to participate in the screening and the selection of the 10 top researches. Financial rewards will be offered to the 10 top researches. One thousand participants are expected to attend this fair including students, parents, and members of the local community.
