"Toward An Athletic Capital" at Omar

Omar bin Al Khattab Educational Complex for Boys in close collaboration with Qatar Olympic Committee and other sports federations, and sports clubs organized a huge sports festival at the school’s preparatory section to celebrate the school Olympic year 2008-09.

The festival was inaugurated by H.E Sheikh Saoud bin Abdullrahman Al Thani, the Secretary General of Qatar Olympic Committee. Among the attendees was Brigadier Khalid bin Hamad Al Attiya, the Head of Police Sports Federation, H.E Rabea Mohammed Al Kaabi, the Under Secretary of Ministry of Education as well as Mr. Mohammed Abdulla Al Maraghi, principal of Omar Complex, principals from other schools, members of the BoT at Omar, and parents.

The program included speeches, sports activities as well as an exhibition.
