  • This year, the students skills and abilities were tested in seven content areas; Islamic Studies, Arabic Language, English as a Second Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics. The QSSC results are a combination of scale score based on the student’s school-based assessments (internal) which accounts for 40% of the total score and a series of externally devised and administered senior tests overseen by the SEC which make up the remaining 60% score.

“The Education Institute set the internal evaluation criteria and there qualified panel of supervisors to monitor the progress and provide accurate information,” said Adel Al Sayed, the Evaluation Institute director. “The QSSC provides a rich performance profile, which emphasizes the importance of schooling and schoolwork but incorporates external test information in a sound and constructive way. It is a versatile and rich credential, which will serve graduates well in the pursuit of their diverse post secondary pathways. The QSSC is innovative and progressive which has incorporated international best practice whilst supporting and reflecting Qatar’s own educational reform context.”
