Hundreds of students visit the Higher Ed Open House


Students from several secondary schools hoping to apply to universities here and abroad visited the "Open House," which is aimed at providing students with information on the different scholarship programs, the list of universities approved by the Higher Education Institute and career guidance. Organized by the Higher Education Institute, the event began on May 4 and will continue until May 5 at Al Merqab Hall of the Four Seasons Hotel.

Elite institutions at Int’l Fair impress eleventh-hour visitors

Mr. Mohammed Saleh Al Mannai, the acting director of the Higher Education Institute expressed his deep appreciation to all the participants to the first Qatar International College Fair and hoped they will return to an even bigger event next year. Each representative received a crystal plaque in recognition of their participation and offering advice to the students.

The HEI to hold the first Qatar International College Fair


Over sixty international universities and educational institutions will participate in the first Qatar International College Fair being held from February 26-28 February 2008 at the Four Season Hotel. The event is organized by the Higher Education Institute under the patronage of H.E. Ms. Sheikha Ahmed Al-Mahmoud, the Minister of Education and Secretary-General of the Supreme Education Council. The Fair provides excellent opportunities for students wishing to enroll in universities on the HEI scholarship list to learn more about the courses, admission requirements and study in colleges abroad and in Qatar.

The HEI to hold the first Qatar International College Fair

Sixty universities and educational institutions from the United Kingdom, United States of America, Australia and Qatar will participate in the first Qatar International College Fair to be held at the Four Seasons Hotel from February 26 – 28, 2008. Speaking at a press conference today, Mr. Mohamed Saleh Al Mannai, the Acting Director of Higher Education Institute (HEI) said that the fair would provide excellent opportunities for high school seniors, graduates and prospective students to gain first hand knowledge about admission requirements, application processes, and required tests from universities on the HEI scholarship list.
