Japanese Embassy, Higher Education Institute hold meeting on scholarships
The Higher Education Institute (HEI) of the Supreme Education Council (SEC) in close cooperation and coordination with the Japanese Embassy in Doha organized an instructive meeting aimed of at briefing counselors and staff from the HEI on the opportunities and the many options offered by the Republic of Japan in undergraduate and postgraduate studies and explained the application process.

The debate was part of the World Schools Debating Championships held in Doha between February 9-18, 2010. The debate revolved around women rights and giving women quotas in parliament. Singapore won the competition. Nearly 6708 students from general and specialized secondary schools begin the final tests of the first term on Thursday, January 21, 2010. The exams will be conducted at 25 testing centers – 14 for girls and 11 for boys.
