School Mission
Our elementary school is dedicated to serving girls from Kindergarten –
Grade 6. The school will provide a safe, healthy, innovative, exciting,
fulfilling, and caring learning environment. There will be great focus on
acquiring and strengthening students’ thinking skills. We believe in an
integrated cooperative learning community consisting of students, parents,
teachers, school management, local community, and the society as a whole.
Each student will develop a strong character, represented by caring adults and
reflecting those values cherished by the Qatari society. Each student will be
able to build a cultural identity that reflects a rich Arab and Islamic
heritage, which encourages good basic moral and ethical values.
Our students will enjoy a quality education that focuses on academic excellence,
and nurtures superior behavioral values and attitudes to become life-long
learners and responsible citizens. Our program will facilitate this process by:
-
Enabling each child to master the basic academic skills in all subjects to her
full potential, including the minimum achievement of meeting the national
standards in all required subjects.
-
Educating students in the usage of IT for education purposes as well as daily
needs
-
Encouraging each child to become independent in her attitudes and
intrinsically motivated learning habits.
-
Cultivating our girls’ self esteem, confidence, and raise their level of
personal expectations.
-
Fostering a love for learning by developing leisure activities that each child
will enjoy.
The curriculum will be broad and balanced, matched to the needs of each student.
Through the study of Arabic, Islamic studies and Social Studies, students will
develop respect for, pride in and an understanding of their unique culture and
heritage as well as the value of other cultures. The mastery of English language
will be emphasized through teaching many subjects in English as the main
language of instruction in our school. We will match provision to need, using
our resources and teaching styles effectively. We recognize technological
advancement, and will help our girls meet the technological demands of today’s
society through a clearly defined and integrated computer education program. We
will make our school stand and be a leader this area.
Our employees are the heart of the organization. We believe in developing human
capital, especially national teachers and staff. Our dedicated employees will be
highly qualified, superbly talented, and motivated individuals. They will
represent professionalism and commitment to excellence in education for all
students.
Parents want the best for their children and we want the best out of parents.
They serve as a bridge between the school and home environments, ensuring that
teaching and learning enrich the child’s daily existence. Parents will play an
integrated role and share the responsibility in educating their children.
The school feels that it is essential to establish a climate of mutual
understanding and an integrated relationship with community. This will be
accomplished by addressing students, community needs and expectations. Parents
are an important link in creating an effective school-community partnership. The
school will aim to strengthen the existing school program through the greater
involvement and utilization of available community resources. Also, the school
will be a focal point to satisfy the needs of the community using the school
resources.
Our school will be a place where educators, parents, and the greater community
come together to refine our most important national resource, our children.
Educational Goals
The school will strive to achieve its educational goals and aims through the
core subjects, other subjects, cross-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
It is very important to ensure that school efforts are targeting these goals
because they will reflect on students’ performance inside and outside the
school. We believe that fulfilling these goals will enable our students to be
successful after attending our school, because our curriculum:
-
Focuses on the academic and non-academic skills.
-
Helps teachers present their lessons using effective teaching strategies.
-
Concentrates on low and high achieving students equally.
-
Provides a wide range of leisure activities where students will develop their
