School Mission
The mission reflects the vision of the school and serves to focus everyone’s energies on a common purpose.

Our Mission is to maintain a school of highly motivated teachers and students. Our students will learn and practice their Islamic faith in a child-centered environment that offers quality education to every student and prepares them to become lifelong learners and responsible citizens. Literacy will be the key to our academic success. In addition to academic success, we will cultivate the cultural, spiritual, and moral growth of our students. We will encourage everyone in our school community to strive for excellence and realize their maximum potential. Students will demonstrate knowledge and respect for their home environment, their school environment and the broader community environment. Parental and community involvement will be vital components in the achievement of this mission.

We will revise the mission as needed, and we will obtain approval of parents and the community for the amended mission at the school's Annual Meeting.

Our mission tells us where we want students to go but it is not written in stone. To keep our mission alive and relevant, we will continue to ask ourselves questions that will renew our focus:

  • What do we want students to understand?
  • What do we want students to know?
  • What do we want students to be able to do?
  • How do we want students to behave?
  • How will our students learn? How will we know what our students have learned?
  • How will we collect data and evaluate it?
  • How will we keep parents informed?
  • How will we train teachers and provide them with Professional Development?
  • What are the best practices that our teachers need to use?
  • Does our mission challenge our students and set clear goals for personal growth?
  • Does our mission reflect the faith, values, culture, and aspirations of the community and the nation?

Educational Goals
  • The school will meet the criteria set out by Supreme Education Council (SEC). It will be autonomous (independent) within the regulations of the SEC and the governance structure established by the operators and the Board of Trustees.

  • It will be accountable to the SEC, the Education Institute, the Board of Trustees and the school community.

  • It will offer a variety of subjects - a strong core curriculum and complementary experiences to develop the talents and interests of students.

  • The applicants will operate a primary school for boys. They will offer the students a full primary curriculum that meets or exceeds the national standards of Qatar and which is comparable to international standards.

  • Instruction will be in Arabic at first and English will be introduced in practical ways across the curriculum. Students will be exposed to an increasing use of English as they progress through the grades and they will be able to demonstrate basic communication skills in both languages by the time they have completed grade five.

  • Parents will be encouraged to participate in school governance and will be active in all school decisions, in particular those that concern their own children.

  • The students will learn and develop the values and principles of our Islamic faith.

  • The students will take pride in their national heritage and have a positive vision of their future and their country.

  • The students will achieve a solid basic education in the core subjects.

  • The students will master basic communication skills in Arabic and English and will be prepared to succeed in preparatory and secondary schools.

  • The students will become computer literate and they will use these skills as learning tools.

  • The students will become successful at using scientific method and explanation in problem solving.

  • The students will develop positive attitudes towards study, time management, personal discipline and learning.

  • The students will have self-esteem and become aware of their immediate environment and their physical needs. This will lead to good personal hygiene and healthy habits that result in a healthy mind in a healthy body.

  • The students will become good citizens who possess skills of social action, co-operation, respect and tolerance along with the ability to express themselves socially and politically.

  • The students will acquire useful and enjoyable hobbies and leisure time activities, including an appreciation for the fine arts.

  • The school will set realistic and measurable academic standards for all students in 2006-07 and set attainable goals for the years 2007-09.

  • The students will be successful because our goals are attainable, our teaching methods are effective, and our teachers are capable.
