Vision:
Our highest endeavour at Al Nahda Independent Primary School is to develop free human beings who are able to impart purpose and direction to their lives. We strive to educate and develop the whole child in her pursuit of excellence in academic knowledge, skills and behavior, by building confidence in her ability to achieve. Thus, the school will treat all subjects as inter-dependent, weaving science, art and craft together. The school will educate female students from Kindergarten to Grade 6.

School Mission:
We recognise the inner development of each child and seek to nourish it with appropriate experiences at each stage. We foster each child’s experience of rhythm through a balance of artistic, intellectual and practical work. Al Dahda allows social learning in the classroom where sensitivity and awareness of others’ needs are valued. Our school emphasises the relationship between child and teacher in classrooms of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Our teachers nurture all the abilities of every child.

Educational Goals

  • To bring valuable qualities to modern children, engaging hand, heart and head to enable children to develop into practical, confident, socially-skilled, flexible and creative thinkers so they may take initiative and responsibility in their lives.
  • To teach our students to know and love the world and their fellow human beings.
  • To engage and nourish each child’s innate curiosity and love of learning.
  • To nurture children in becoming balanced, well-rounded individuals.
  • To recognise the spiritual dimension and potential in each human being.
  • To provide a balance of academic, artistic and practical activities, so each child is thoroughly prepared for life by adhering to both SEC standards and the Steiner curriculum, which has been proven over 80 years.
  • To ensure that each child is accepted and valued for what she brings, be it an artistic or academic ability, a physical or social skill.
  • To measure children not against one another but their own potential, thus reserving competition for older children’s lessons.
  • To establish trust and compassion, an inner sense of values and the ability to discriminate between good and evil in a world where traditional culture, community and religious values are increasingly challenged.
  • To provide a foundation of lifelong learning, recognising that the quality of adulthood lies in childhood experiences.
  • To recognize that education is a journey, not a race, thus encouraging excellence, self-discipline and genuine enthusiasm for learning.
  • To develop each child’s physical, emotional, and spiritual being, understanding that Islam values the practical, the artistic, the social and the intellectual equally.
  • To develop and promote teachers’ competencies through professional development workshops, thus equipping them not only with the latest technology but also the most effective teaching techniques.
  • To use assessment not only as a tool for enhancing student learning, but also as an instrument for educational reform.
  • To nurture responsible, well-balanced, peace-loving, helpful, and caring members of the community.
