Mission:
Inspiring learners to engage the future and reach their personal potential in a creative and supportive “learning environment,” empowering our students with tools that will enable them to compete and excel in a global community by providing them with quality teaching, integrated technology and a high level of confidence and self-esteem. Promoting a balance between family values and social leadership, set high academic standards for its children in all core subjects, and preparing our students for an effective family role as well as for successful entry into the next school stage of their choice.

Educational Goals:

• Our school recognizes six broad objectives for primary school education as follows
  • Critical and Creative Thinking: Students learn to question, interpret, and distinguish in order to develop logical, imaginative thinking. They learn to explore, analyze and evaluate information, use it in problem solving, and then are challenged to articulate, revise, and defend their thinking.

  • Communication: Students learn to listen, speak, read, write and interpret effectively as individuals and as members of cooperative groups. They become aware of how culture, art, music, drama and sport serve as vehicles for self-expression in extending communication.

  • Technological Integration: Students develop an appreciation for the value, as well as the limitations of technology. They will learn to evaluate the environmental, cultural, and social impact of technological changes.

  • Personal and Social Values: Students develop personal skills including goal-setting, self-discipline, self-motivation, organization, and time management which contribute to a healthy self-esteem. In addition, students are expected to extend consciousness beyond self in order to develop a healthy social values system based upon respect for others.

  • Global Awareness and Understanding: Students acquire this through cultural sensitivity, international appreciation and understanding. Students develop an appreciation of the interdependent responsibility of nations and individuals in preserving the environment.

  • Independent Learning: Students are encouraged to engage themselves in their intellectual and social environment, not only to enhance their school years but also to establish a pattern of involvement and enquiry that will extend into adult life.

  • Patriotic identity: reinforcing the patriotic spirit through introducing the Qatari heritage and preserving the customs and traditions through incorporating them in all subjects and strengthening this identity through curricular and extra curricular activities.

• The environment will be inviting, pleasing, student centred, safe, comfortable, and the students will have easy access to instructional centres.

• The school will be measurably accountable for high performance standards through the regular class observations, assessments. School self review, school report cards’ analysis, focus groups, other reports

• Encourage parental involvement in their children’s education and be responsive through parents’ conferences, students’ monthly behavioural and academic reports, parent/teacher meetings, and participation in the BoT and school events.

• Develop young people who are prepared for the next level of education by:

  • Commitment to providing a challenging, enriching and supportive learning environment which develops confident, articulate young women who have the skills, knowledge, values and attitudes to shape their future and contribute meaningfully to their immediate society and to the international community as a whole.

  • Encourage students to gain a sense of excitement in learning, develop optimism and the ability and initiative to apply what is learned in dealing with daily life situations

  • Helping students to develop high self-esteem and a commitment to personal excellence through preparing them for the standardized national exams in the four core subjects and also for entry to middle school

  • Support students in sustaining an individual point of view, while respecting the rights of others and engaging actively in group decision making

  • Support development of a sense of the student’s own cultural heritage, as well as an understanding and appreciation of diversity and its place in the world

  • Working with students towards a better appreciation of the continuing contribution of women to family life, the world and workplace and the need to equip them to become contributing and active members of our changing world

  • Support the loyalty and nurture the spirit of pride and appreciation of the Qatari culture

• The school will nourish the Islamic faith, values and national aspirations by incorporating them in all subjects and strengthening this identity through curricular and extra curricular activities.
