School Vision and Mission
The mission of Al-Rafaa Independent Primary Girls School is to enable our students to maximize the number of future life choices available to them by broadening their perception and encouraging lateral thinking through the explicit teaching of thinking skills. Such skills and abilities will be founded on a solid, challenging curriculum, which will encourage the love of learning and academic excellence in all subjects. In order to provide a school community in which the study of science, mathematics, technology, and the English language are challenging and meet the National Standards, an alignment will be made between the National Curriculum Standards and the National Curriculum of England & Wales (NCEW) will be used as a resource. The NCE will serve as a curriculum model for non-core subject areas.

We teach all subjects in English (with the exception of Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Social Studies). However, we are sensitive to the challenges this may create for students who do not possess a sufficient command of the English language to be successful. So, we plan to offer the curriculum translated into Arabic for the first few years, while gradually moving towards a full implementation of the English-language version of the curriculum. For students new to our school, we plan to offer the majority of instruction in English, so that those students will be prepared to receive all instruction in English, as they get older.

Recognizing the importance of science, mathematics and technology in today's science-oriented world and recognizing that scientific thinking and skills can be used to improve virtually any human activity. Our school’s creative education plan targets thinking and academic skills throughout the educational situation. The founder envision a program which will change the current way of thinking about the sciences and install a love of learning for these subjects by engaging the students’ bodies and minds in hands-on explorations of the wonders of all fields of science

We prepare students to be a positive partner in this world by teaching her religion, loyalty to her country, her history and civilization.

Educational Goals
Our aim is to provide the children with the best possible education, and our instructional program will be developed based on the SEC’s Curriculum Standards in Arabic, Math, Science and English. The school curriculum will be in alignment with the Qatari Curriculum Standards developed by the Supreme Education Council.

We will follow the National Curriculum of England & Wales (NCEW) for Math and Science as a resource to support the Qatar National Curriculum Standards. The NCEW is organized on the basis of Key Stages, with individual progress monitored by standardized assessment tests. The second stage, called Key Stage 1 is for students aged six to seven; and Key Stage 2 is for students aged seven to eleven. The Key Stages determine the course of study for children.

We will teach the curriculum in Arabic initially, while gradually implementing the curriculum in English as our youngest students get older and demonstrate sufficient command of English.
