School Mission:
- The mission of Khalid bin Ahmed Al-Thani Independent Preparatory School
for Boys is to employ highly competent teachers; provide suitable buildings
for the delivery of classroom programs; develop an educational program that
provides for main courses, additional courses and school activities; promote a
positive school and classroom climate; and provide a safe and secure learning
environment.

School Services:
- The school will use the Qatar national curriculum, delivered in a manner
that enables students to achieve the new curriculum standards to be published
in 2005.
- Major shifts will occur in the way subjects are taught, and staff will
receive professional development related to the changes. The curriculum will
be tailored to meet the needs of students who have learning needs or display
special abilities. Student growth will be enhanced through the introduction of
extra curricular activities that foster positive attributes.
- Information technology will be integrated across the curriculum and will
be used for administrative purposes. A school-wide network will be
established, and systems to ensure its safe use by students will be developed.
- Class size will be restricted to 25 students. The school will have an open
admissions policy until the capacity of 600 students has been reached, at
which time selection criteria will be implemented. The school’s hours of
instruction will be from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. A school calendar will be available
for students, teachers and parents.
- An extensive capital works program is being developed with the Education
Institute to ensure the school provides a state-of-the-art facility that
supports learning and teaching.
- Khalid bin Ahmed Independent Preparatory School for Boys is located in the
Ain Khalid district near Al Ghanim.
