School Mission
The school aims at providing outstanding learning to prepare generations
capable of taking advantage of successful opportunity through the development of
their knowledge and their capabilities. The school also aims at unveiling
students' creativity, enhancing their self confidence and spirit and directing
their inclinations in the right direction to serve their society and country
through an educational system and qualified teachers, along with effective
societal participation.
The mission of Omar Bin Al-Khattab Boys Educational Complex (K-12) is to provide
students with an educational program that emphasizes math and science and will
develop skills necessary to allow them to be productive participants in Qatari
society, as well as in the world at large.
We also aim at enhancing the students' sense of belonging to their religion,
country, their nation, and even the world at large. Students are to learn that
they are part of this world-especially when the made-up barriers against global
unity are all swept aside so that they become qualified for the future global
way of life.
These skills require:

The ability to read, write, and communicate in more than one language

The ability to use numbers and symbols to solve problems accurately

The ability to acquire the basic knowledge concerning the organization and
management of the world we live in

To accomplish our mission within all the schools of Omar Bin Al-Khattab Boys
Educational Complex, we are committed to the following goals and objectives:

To follow a curriculum that is aligned to the SEC standards and that is
consistent with our school mission statement.

To provide the students with a safe, stimulating, and positive learning
environment.

To enhance the learning environment with an international outlook that
develops knowledge and tolerance for the differences among cultures.

Making decisions based on the annual outcomes, which are related to the
academic performance of students and the instructional performance of staff.

To begin in the early grades to build a foundation in the skills of reading,
writing, and speaking in Arabic and English, as well as in mathematics, science,
social studies, Islamic studies, physical education, and art.

To provide an academic challenge to the more able student, while providing
appropriately designed instruction, such as individual and small group tutoring,
taped instructional materials, extra time for the completion of assignments or
tests, etc., for those students with learning difficulties or other special
health or intellectual needs

To promote effective teaching through a comprehensive staff development
program

To promote involvement of parents and the community with all that is relevant
regarding performance of duties to improve the school performance on the part of
those in charge.
Distribution of revenue to accomplish the Educational Complex’ programs and
provide services the best way possible.
The instructional strategies will vary in the Complex to suit students’
intellectual, psychological, and physical development. In the Primary, the
student will learn by the use of an Individualized approach which focuses on
learning through different groupings, experiential learning, inquiry and
learning in the classrooms and labs. As the student progresses to the
preparatory stage, the focus will be on acquiring scientific skills and field
research experience. Learning acquisition will be through brainstorming,
discussions, cooperative learning and projects.
As students advance to the upper levels, they will be able to employ IT skills
to conduct research and give presentations. What distinguishes the instructional
strategies at this stage is that they are more students-centered. Students will
depend more on themselves in the learning process.
Educational Goals
Omar Bin Al-Khattab Educational Complex aims at developing in students
the knowledge required to gather information from various sources and the right
implementation of information, building up a scientific mentality in students,
developing team spirit, instilling in students a positive, critical spirit and
making them good listeners of opinions that are different from theirs,
acceptance of others and teaching them objective argumentative skills, and
finally developing their self-confidence and organized independence
