The Higher Education Institute’s Advising & Career Development Center has opened a library containing resources for students, graduates and counselors. In addition to books that provide information about study and occupational choice, the library contains videos, CDs and DVDs about different universities and career planning as well as computers with Internet connection for students who are interested in searching researching the different universities. Books providing information about study and occupational choice are available and they are complemented by using career inventories and other information, which assist in mapping individual abilities, capacities and interests against suitable courses and eventual employment destinations. Students also have access to electronic and hard copy information on a very large number of post secondary institutions and countries all designed to help them in making appropriate choices. There are books for students about the universities that are on the Higher Education Institute approved university list, directories about universities, resources on how to prepare for different required tests (TOEFL, SAT, GRE, GMAT, etc…) and how to prepare a good application and essay. The library also includes resources for graduates about job search, how to prepare a good resum and prepare for the job interview. In addition, there are resources for counselors and all that is related to the field of career guidance and counseling.
